After a long hot summer, I am back at my workbench. I spent time with family, and visited two festivals this summer. The first was Beautiful Days in Devon, and our old favourite , End of the Road in Dorset. We had beautiful weather for both, and saw some brilliant bands. Beautiful days festival End of the Road festival I also spend a lovely weekend away at a yoga retreat with my Cousin Lucy, who is a yoga teacher. We had a relaxing weekend with lots of Yoga, delicious food

June was a little warm in the studio, so progress on new work has been slow. I am making lots of new jewellery ready for Folk by the Oak. We love this festival, it’s small, friendly and great fun. I’ve made lots of Oak related pieces. Any remaining jewellery will go on my website after the event. A little peek at oak leaves! It has been a busy few months since my last blog. Thank you to everyone who bought pieces at my first few markets, and my Easter Bunday sale! On 13th April we welcomed a new addition to our home. Since loosing Luna in January Bean had been very sad and lonely. So we took him to our local rabbit rescue to be bonded with a new friend. Bean stayed with the rescue for a week, where they expertly introduced him slowly to Soy, she had also lost her friend, and was not coping well a

Belated equinox blessings In the afternoon of the Equinox we made our way to Exmoor to spend the weekend in Dulverton to celebrate the equinox and the re-launch of Wild Folk. January has been a very long and dark month this year, with so much rain. I have had a sad month, my long time studio companion Luna, the tiny black rabbit, hopped off to the next world, and she has been so missed. 💔 Luna ❤️ Imbolc is arriving with hope today, hope of lighter days, new beginnings and growth. Solstice Dawn in the orchard at Cotehele, Cornwall. I had great plans to post a Yule blog, but due to technical issues, I had to give up! So, here is a catch up on what I’ve been up to during the festive season. After a very busy few weeks, my family and I packed up and headed down to Cornwall on 19th December. We had 10 days staying in the Dairy Cottage at the National Trust property of Cotehele. The Dairy Cottage On Saturday 20th December Cotehele had their annual Wassail.

As the year turns to the Celtic new year it is time to reflect and honour ancestors. This week I made my way to Kingley Vale, National Nature Reserve to honour my parents. It was a much needed visit, to pause, and to reflect in awe of the ancient yew trees. Natures cathedral. There are many beautiful oak trees amnigst the yews. An abundance of acorns under foot, and the hawthorn was full of berries. Earlier this month I made a visit to Bath to see the Lost Spells exhibition
